African American Legacy: The Carol Mundy Collection
For more than twenty-five years, Orlando private collector Carol E. Mundy has been on a mission to preserve and exhibit African American history and culture. Her efforts grew into the museum-class holdings of The Carol Mundy Collection (CMC) housed at the University of Central Florida Library Special Collections & University Archives. Consisting of rare 19th and 20th century material culture, this extraordinary collection documents the African American experience throughout the United States with a focus on African Americans in Central Florida. The repository of CMC includes photographs, primary documents, books, objects and works of art from 1720 to the present.
